Meditation
Meditation is a practice that helps you quiet the mind, cultivate awareness, & connect with your inner self. It’s not about stopping your thoughts but learning to observe them without judgment, creating space for peace and clarity.
At Rooted Bliss Wellness, meditation sessions are rooted in the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra—a guided meditation technique also known as “yogic sleep.” It’s designed to guide you into a deeply relaxed state while maintaining a trace of awareness, helping you access your subconscious and restore balance.
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is a deeply restorative meditation practice that guides you into a state between wakefulness and dreaming. While your body rests in stillness, your mind remains aware, allowing you to access a profound level of relaxation and self-awareness.
During Yoga Nidra, the brain enters the alpha state, a space where mental impressions, or samskaras, may arise. Samskaras are imprints of past experiences and actions that shape our mental and emotional patterns. Through this practice, you can explore these imprints, release tension, and create new, positive patterns with the power of intention—known as Sankalpa in yoga.
The entire practice is done in Savasana (corpse pose), lying comfortably on your back, while you are guided through body awareness, sensations, and imagery to reach this unique state of consciousness.
